Isoniazid is removed by acetylation. The speed of acetylation is genetically predetermined. Rapid acetylators clear isoniazid much faster than slow acetylators.  Practically, this is probably only relevant for widely spaced intermittent treatment, but not for daily or thrice-weekly treatment.
