Summarizing these three properties, Mitchison has graded the six anti-tuberculosis drugs. Isoniazid and rifampicin rank highest in all three properties. Pyrazinamide and thioacetazone rank lowest in the prevention of resistance and early bactericidal activity and thioacetazone and ethambutol lowest in their sterilizing activity for which rifampicin and pyrazinamide rank highest.
