This table summarizes the 6-, 8-, and 12-month daily regimens whose efficacy has been thoroughly tested in clinical trials. Intermittent variations are omitted from display but in general it may be said that the superior standard is daily administration of all all drugs. Effectiveness might be improved despite often somewhat inferior efficacy, if intermittent administration is given to facilitate direct observation of treatment instead of uncontrollable prescription of self-administered daily treatment.
