Thus, from Canetti's observations it is clear that the majority of primary complexes become sterile and that a large proportion of tuberculosis among adults was not the result of reactivation but of reinfection. This would appear to be at odds with the epidemiologic observations of Andvord who demonstrated quite clearly that childhood experience predicted adult experience which would perhaps more likely suggest reactivation rather than recinfection tuberculosis.
